I have recently been informed of a tournament either at the end of october or the beginning of november here in rochester. I will up date people once the dates in question come closer to call. In a side note anyone coming up/down for the tournamnet that needs a place to stay for the night can give me a call.

What are peoples views on the way that tournaments are run...for example do people like the steamroller 2.0 rules and if not why, and do people have a preference between 750 points and 500? Give me your feed back so i can pass it along to the guy running tournaments here, hes trying to decide what to do for this one.

Having played in only one SR 2.0, I can't really voice an opinion, other than that I'm not looking foreward to the Sorcha AD list. Otherwise, I much prefer 750 to 500- gives us more toys to play with, especially when people start running Amon, Darius, or Karchev- multiple 'jacks can get expensive!

Sorscha AD list ? I think either point list has its benefits. 500 means you might actually get to do something else that day but 750 definitely makes things more interesting in addition to the tournament now I guess would be a good time to introduce my own idea thingy. anyways, has anyone ever though of doing like something completely out of the box. I was think like maybe one day get together a whole bunch of players together and just do one massive battle. I mean like if we could get 3-4 for people from each faction we could easy play like a 5 faction game w/ like 4000 points to each faction. It might take more than one day I would imagine. But it would just be a cool thing to try out. If we documented it well enough it would definietly make it into No Qaurter. Another alternate way to do it would to just have every faction field max everything plus the alottable casters. Anyone want to help me with this. We would definitely need to think about -terrain set up, how would we have terrain that would support such a massive amount of models. -Back story, I'm bad with fluff, ive never been up to date on the storys. Someone who knows the IK and WM fluff would have to help me out. -Game setup, how can we have five massive factions fighting at once without double teaming and balance issues. I would imagine the battles could possibly start out in isolated areas with factions like khador and menoth facing off and cryx and cygnar, mercs would still be ? and slowly all meld into a focal battle area. -Documentation, Someone to record the battle and come up with story to go along with the events. Also pictures etc . . .

Aye, the list is Sorcha and a whole bunch of AD or fast moving troops- Doomies, Kossites, Widowmakers, Eryiss, Manhunter. They blitz the mountain and then sorcha pops her feat when you get near- almost impossible to beat in SR 2.0
The big scenario game would be friggin awesome, though. I know people have run through the 2nd battle of the Thornwood (like in Apotheosis) and that takes a while, but it'd be fun. Another idea is to run through one of those map campaigns. Look around- I know there are resources available for running them.

a big battle would be cool. and in regards to the sorsha AD list, there are a number of ways to beat it...epic caine has a spell that makes it so he cant be stationary, gortens land slide, kreoss pop, among a number of other things. Just make sure she has no troopers when she hits the hill. (and go first)
