Ok we went to Origins like we do every year. This year taking SilentGunner, Nimoko, gf9, and myself. We missed the first Hordes tournament and opted out on the 1,00 point tournaments since they literally take all day when you have 40 players. We did however do Midnight Madness.
Nimoko field a Kharchev list and went 3-2. Amazing seeing as how she has played the list 1 time previously. Certainly showed some great potential, and sure suprised alot of guys as she was kicking their asses.
GF9 went 3-2 but since he doesnt talk much we don't know how his rounds really went other than one of his win (and therefore one of her loses) was to Nimoko.
Myself when 2-2-(1 tie). Proformed well considered I used Kreoss and almost none of the newer units/jacks, proving the game creep while it seems strong isnt really that bad. One lose was to a Iron Curtain list that put a nice whole in my army, and another was to a Sorsha list when I was suppose to be taking points. My tie however lost me the Protectorate medal to another player. Jolli, but he was a real cool guy and a great players so no bad blood. The better player won
And lastly, SilentGunner, who I am sure could talk to you for hours about his game when 3-1-1, scoring him the Merc medal against 4 other Merc players (which by the way out numbered the Protectorate players there). Granted the PG didnt have the medals with him that night so Silent had to go on an ques [60] Get your Medal! (elite) in order to get it.
And lastly I want to point out a friend of mine and Silent from WoW who joined us at Origins. Having never played more than a cygnar battlebox he bought a 500 point Khador list and went 1-4, which might sound bad but try going to a tournament with 1 hour of game experience and none with the army you are running and do better. So shout out to him, and hope he joins the Jackhead elites.
Also for those not willing to Travel mister Fox has a tournament coming up at FoF. I suggust checking it out, and that info is in the Events section.
