Well, before we game tomorrow, any ideas/opinions on where we're at and where we're going? Is everybody O.K. with working fully for the military, or would the group rather "go mercenary"? I know Larkin's goals leaned us toward this end, but if the group decides (i.e. rationalizes) that some other course is more in line with the story and development of the group, I for one am still open. Please don't take this as a indication that I am in any way unhappy with the current course of events; they've worked out quite well for Larkin. I know that by choice and by default I end up often in a leader position for the group but I want to make sure I'm not getting us into stuff that will be disruptive to the group. That and now seems a good time to get this sorted out, before we go down the road too far... Please respond regardless of your opinions, all views are important on this one. ;D

I am fine with working for the military, but my character may become frustrated with it if there are not long breaks in which to do his own thing. It would be ok if we worked on assignments that we chose ourselves. He grew up in the military, and left to go adventuring. It would be ok if we weren't treated like rank and file troopers, but more as a team going on special missions and stuff because Lupar is suspicious of working with people whom he is not accustomed to.
it's working out fine for hime, pay wise, and that might persuade him to go along with it for now. The security of our factory may become a problem in the future. The cryxians have threatened us already, and before we start stockpileing jack parts, we mihgt want to think about it. for now i think that it will work out fine

Jason brings up a good point about railroading people into roles. As a DM i try to avoid doing this as much as I can, however this time around I decided to put the group back on a formal track per say. This is so the group as a hope starts to see the bigger picture and works to a plot resoltion. To be honest I was planning on having this arch wrapped up by level 5, and where we are level 9 and not close. If you feel that I am forcing too much on the group let me know. Remember, its the players game more than it is a DM game. All i have vested is my time and some creativity. Players invest their passion into their characters.

It's pretty expensive, 3000 to just but it, 1500 and 120 xp to build it. saving up money would be a good idea, since we are trying to build a warjack. i'm gonna put 4,000 gold in the bank to use for group projects, if anyone wants to start stockpiling. i don't need anymore crafting time, since i got all of my weapons back, but jason is going to start having a tight schedule with his training, so for now i'm not even going to buy parts for my *special* greatcoat

While working for the cygnaran military isnt exactly the ideal course of action for my character it will afford him a chance to train and become a better rifleman so he will stay with the group for now. (whitefields ultimatum will make it hard to leave anyway)
On the accumulator issue i will be willing to put up some gold for it or other group projects.

This is one of the reason i wasn't too keen on allowing Khards, Kossite and the like into the group. This is unaviodable in your case.

i belive i mentioned that i was not going to be in attendence this past week...however if i did not then i am sorry for the inconvienience. i was in rochester for the DECA states competittion and instead of playing d and d i was in a suit and tie listening to a gay kid talk about his accomplishments for like 4 hours...if some one can fill me in as to what i missed i would be most gracious. again sorry i missed out. Do forgive me!

you missed nothing other than the group being addicted to mechinka. Things like Talbot +1 full plate of invurability, or schawnke's +1 fiery burst gun. We didn't play the actual game since you wont there. Consider this you get of jail free card....Next time squirrely the proxy monkey gets to play your character

you could, but i dont think people want to know that you have no wang, since jacks are not equiped to do that kind of work...even though you would be a labor jack...
