Anybody get any of the P3 paints yet? I am not sure if they have hit the shelves (they should be though) and I just wanted people's opinons. I havent painted in so long most of my paint is dead so I will be needing to replace and rather go with P3.
Also if you got a box would you post what colors come in the boxes..

Ive been hearing about them from the Brushthralls, and occasionally on the forums. Only complaint I've heard so far is that there aren't enough colors out, but PP is working on that.

Well I went to Mil. Games on friday to get the paints but I guess they haven't come out. There were none of the shelves and the guy working there said he doesnt recall seeing any come in yet.
So instead I bought a bunch of WoW TCG cards. Silly wow

Some of us were thinking about getting together and trying to order the retailer kit which comes out later next year (I think March or April). If the info is right, it's gonna come with 10-12 of all the paints (and yes, the full color range is coming out, not just the stuff in the boxes). I forget exactly how it broke down, but it was gonna be like $70 per person for the WHOLE range. I'll keep finding out more and see if this is a realistic venture, but would any of you guys be interested?

Well, the first step is to see if we can get a store (I'm gonna go ahead and guess Millenium) to order it for us. If not, we might have to see if we can go through a distributor. Then, we'd have to get people to sign up for it, and put the money down in advance once we've figured out who owes what. After the order is placed and recieved, one or two of us would have to sit down and divvy out the paints. Not too complicated! I'll see if I can get the ball rolling when I get back out to Rochester. We'll have a couple days of down-time before classes start, and Im sure Jake and I will spend at least one of those days at Millenium, so we'll see what happens from there. Another thought- if we can't get enough people to go in so that all the paints sell, we could all put forth the extra couple bucks for the last set, then try to sell it on Ebay or something, and use the cash to pay for the front page. The full set would get us something like 2 and a half years worth, too.

Things to think about. In order to buy from most distrubtor you need to be a store/website meaning have a tax ID number to prove it. Misrepresenting this can land you some big trouble including jail time. I got a funny story about a guy at Geneseo that learned that...
Next alot of disturbtors base the discount you get on the quanity you buy. If you only try to order the one kit you arent going to get much discount. It is the best interst of them to sell more volume, since thats how the whole middle man thing works in retail: volume
Next alot of companies have minimal order totals. I know that for example ACD which the guild used had a minimal of $500 I beleive.
Just some things to think about
